Andy Garfinkel is a federal grant management expert. He has represented nonprofit institutions and organizations at the federal level for the past 15 years, following seven years as a senior congressional aide. Andy provides strategic planning, grant writing, and advocacy services on behalf of clients.
Prior to joining Keller McIntyre, Andy served as Principal of a boutique federal government relations firm, Aronnax Public Strategies. In this role, Andy worked with his team to identify myriad approaches to leverage federal and state resources, including grants, contracts, private-public partnerships and tax credits to achieve his nonprofit development and government objectives. Andy has helped develop hundreds of millions of dollars in private and public investments to fund local government, private and nonprofit initiatives in such diverse fields as economic development, transportation, housing, energy and environment, telecommunications, health care, government procurement, defense and homeland security.
While on Capitol Hill, Andy worked as a senior staff member for Rep. Ted Strickland (D-OH) and Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT). Specifically, Andy has served as Legislative Assistant, Grants Director, and Legislative Director in the Congress.
Andy is a graduate of the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, and lives in Maryland with his wife Kristine and their three children.
